Building Systems Integration (BSI) was formed in 2019 through the acquisition of KC Air Conditioning, Inc. Since that time, BSI has focused exclusively on the multifamily construction market and has transformed KC Air Conditioning into a specialized contractor delivering HVAC installation for large-scale apartment and multi-unit developments throughout the Phoenix metro area.

BSI specializes in multifamily HVAC new construction projects. Our experience includes typical residential split systems as well as more complex systems commonly required in multifamily developments, including:

• Fresh air and corridor ventilation systems
• Packaged rooftop units
• VRF systems
• Garage gas and combustion detection systems
• Commercial kitchen ventilation within multifamily buildings

Our team is experienced in coordinating these systems across multi-building, multi phase projects.

Yes. BSI routinely supports general contractors during preconstruction and coordination phases. Our team reviews drawings, scopes, and specifications to identify constructability issues, sequencing considerations, and potential gaps prior to construction start. This early involvement helps reduce RFIs, change orders, and schedule disruptions during execution.

Yes. BSI has experience supporting LEED®-certified construction and works with project teams to meet sustainability and energy-efficiency goals. We are also familiar with ENERGY STAR® requirements and HVAC-related components tied to tax credit and incentive programs.

Yes. BSI provides comprehensive project management services for all projects we execute. We utilize web based project management platforms to coordinate scheduling, procurement, field production, and in house sheet metal fabrication. This approach provides real time visibility into project status for both our internal teams and our construction partners.

BSI typically supports multifamily new-construction projects ranging from 50 to 600+ units, including single building and multi building developments. Our staffing model, production workflows, and in house sheet metal fabrication allow us to scale efficiently across large, phased apartment projects while maintaining consistent quality and schedule performance.

BSI provides service support for warranty related work on projects we have installed. Our primary focus is multifamily and commercial construction, and we do not currently provide residential retail service or on demand residential repair.
